Welcome to the newly designed Grunings Jukebox.
We are proud to announce, in addition to offering our special Doo-Wop music of the 1950's and early 1960's, we are also including a section of 1940's and "Your Hit Parade Music" of the early and mid 1950's for some of the alumni who are a little older than us kids.
Now for the real youngsters of the group, don't worry, we will have some tunes from the later 60's to the mid 70's just for you.
Listen to the sounds of the Big Band Era, the 1940's - Click on the number next to the song you would like to hear.

jm Accappella Alley - He is known throughout the music industry as simply the voice. His name is Johnny Maestro (Crests / Brooklyn Bridge). Listen to his rendition of the famous Flamingo's song " I Only Have Eyes For You". The harmony in this piece is perfect.  If you didn't know, you would think there was music playing in this song.           Click on picture.

Moving along into the 1960's, Doo-Wop (1950's & early 60's) music was being replaced by many other muscial groups, brought on by the British invasion and Motown.
Groups like The Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Rolling Stones, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and many more.

If you're like me and enjoy listening to the  great Tenors of our time like Caruso, Pavarotti & Bocelli, than you are in for a real treat.
Let me intrduce you to another great Tenor from Europe (Great Britain) who can now be added to this elite list.  His name is Russell Watson and is another person who, in Europe, is simply known as "The Voice".

Listen to his rendition of "Nesum Dorma" by clicking on his picture.

I recently read an article on another site referencing a young neighborhood man named Pat Mazzillo who tragically died in 1959.
Pat was the lead singer of a Doo-Wop group called the Plurals, he was my family's paperboy and also a friend to Richard Lorenzo.
Another member of the group is a friend of mine named Carl "Dukie" Anderson who recently retired after many years with the GSP, lives in Bricktown and still sings whenever he gets the chance.
I am happy now to present two songs by the Plurals.
