A
beautiful letter received from Sister Catherine Moran, OP Chair, St.
Rose of Lima Board (05)

Dear Board
Members,
There’s
always excitement and a bit of sorrow at the “changing of the guard”.
The new are
walking (however warily) into the virtually unknown.
The old are walking (however happily) away
from the known – standard, normal reactions to change.
To you who
are leaving a job well- started, thank you. You
have already set up Alumni traditions
which have mightily impressed
students and school staff as well as the Chair of the St. Rose of Lima
School
Board.
In his
holiday greetings to St Rose of Lima School Alumni Association, Richard
Lorenzo, former chairman indicated the “bounty” which the membership
has
provided for St. Rose students, staff, and school building. In addition, your presence at special times
has been noted and appreciated – it is a gift of time.
What has impressed me most is your sincerity
and outpouring of concern for children and teachers.
Again, I
thank you.
To you
generous ones who have taken up the torch, thank you.
St. Rose School Community looks forward to a
continuation of a great relationship both with the Board and non-Board
members. The school needs you and
appreciates all that you will be doing to keep your alma mater running
smoothly.
Thank you
for taking on yet another volunteer job.
My prayers
for everyone are for peace and joy in all countries and households. Let’s look forward to that time when, in all
the world, all is calm, all is bright.
My deepest
gratitude to the St. Rose of Lima Alumni Association.
Sincerely,
Sister
Catherine Moran, OP
Chair,
St. Rose of Lima
